The Government of Aceh Tamiang Regency has received the 2025 Public Information Transparency Award from the Aceh Information Commission. The presentation, which was delayed due to hydrometeorological disasters, took place directly on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Regent’s Hall in Aceh Tamiang.
Junaidi, Head of the Aceh Information Commission, handed over the award directly to the Regent of Aceh Tamiang, Retired Police Inspector General Drs. Armia Pahmi, MH. In the 2025 assessment, the regency government scored 93.4 points, earning it the “Informative” classification and placing it 6th among all regencies and cities across Aceh Province.
Regent Armia Pahmi expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation. He emphasized that this achievement serves as motivation to further improve service quality.
“This award encourages us to continue strengthening information management that is transparent, accountable, and easily accessible to all members of the public,” he said.
Meanwhile, Junaidi explained that the ceremony was originally scheduled for late 2025 but had to be postponed due to the impact of the disaster. Even so, he noted that Aceh Tamiang has shown significant progress in managing public information over the past two years.
The evaluation was carried out rigorously by a team consisting of Information Commission members, academics, and practitioners. The process included questionnaire submissions, official website verification, leadership presentations, and final result determination.
“This achievement demonstrates a strong commitment. We hope Aceh Tamiang will continue to improve its ranking and set a benchmark for best practices across Aceh,” Junaidi added.
